Johnston Family | Joliet Extended Family Session

What can I say, I love extended family sessions! I love learning about the families I photograph and what better way to learn about them than to meet their parents. To watch them interact with those they are closest too.

Half way through the session I asked one of the sister-in-laws if the family has a good sense of humor and she responded, “absolutely.” I told her that I was thinking about having the brothers do the kids running under the blanket picture and she said, “I can’t wait to see this”. 

At first the brothers were hesitant but then they came around. I can not get over how much they looked alike when they ran. It has become one of my favorite pictures. I just hope to find another family with a great sense of humor to do it again.
