Senesac Family | Palos Hidden Garden Family Session

I know I say this all the time but one of the best things about my job is meeting people I would have never met otherwise. Photographing a family is a very intimate thing. You get to be there for all their milestones, new babies, and fun times. I see them in times of great joy and when they are in pain (as I shoot when newborns are 5-6 days old I see moms constantly trying to mask the pain). You form a trust or bond with the people you photograph time and again. This is one of my favorite families for all of these reasons. Every year I get to learn more about them and watch their love blossom and these little cuties grow.

Mom is one of my favorite people to work with and each time she contacts me I get a sense of excitement. She strives for each session to have an unique aspect. We have done field, urban, lifestyle, winter and now garden. (I’m hoping to convince them to go explore a stream with me next year.) Mom has a wonderful sense of style, her house is gorgeous and she has designed it all herself, and her instagram is on point. I have such a fun time trying to coordinate wardrobe with her (even though she needs no help from me). This years dress was from her moms closet. I mean how perfect!!!
